A note about Apple Mac files produced on PCs...

The Macintosh does not use DOS file extensions to associate files with an application. Regardless of the file extension, a Macintosh will associate a file with an application based on its Type and Creator code. As Windows machines don't understand Type and Creator codes, often files from a PC turn up on a Macintosh with generic or blank codes, and are therefore not immediately associated with the desired application. The files contained in this download have been produced on a PC, and it may happen that having downloaded and expanded maclcl.sit, your browser will not 'find' the .htm files without doing the following:

Using the File Mappings feature of Internet Config:

To configure Internet Config to associate .htm and .html files with, for example, Netscape, launch the Internet Config application, and click File Mappings. In this box make sure you are listing by extension and scroll down until you find the entry for .htm and .html. Select the line, and then use the Choose Example button to select a file that behaves in the desired manner. Using this method, it should be possible to have .htm and .html files automatically show up as (for example) Netscape text files.
